Embracing the Celebration of Love – Whatever the Tradition

I believe there is common wisdom in all faith traditions and spiritual paths and as an interfaith spiritual director/companion, I honor whatever path you are on.  As I write to you today, I’m looking out my window at 12” of snow that is presently being covered by a layer of freezing rain. My family and I decided to reschedule our holiday gathering until next week when traveling will hopefully not be nearly as treacherous.  I have the gift of extra time in which to rest and to write and so today I am thinking of you and praying this blessing finds you well and safe.

Mixed Blessings: An Interfaith Pantoum for Holidays and Holy Days

Mixed blessings be upon you in these holidays and holy days.

Whatever sacred teachings and holy words bring life and healing to you

Whatever paths beckon you to adventure and wholeness

Whatever songs of faith live in your heart

Whatever sacred teachings and holy words bring life and healing to you

Whatever rituals and customs ground you in love

Whatever songs of faith live in your heart

Whatever number of candles adorn your sacred altars

Whatever rituals and customs ground you in love

Whatever prayers, incantations, and spells honor your cherished connection

Whatever number of candles adorn your sacred altars

Namaste: the spark in me beholds the spark in you.

Namaste: the spark in me beholds the spark in you.

Mixed blessings be upon you in these holidays and holy days.
