Participating in Spiritual Direction with Tessie has positively influenced my life in a way that years of therapy & self help work could not. I came to sessions knowing that I felt unfulfilled in my life, and that I was seeking more connection & purpose, but not knowing how to start- the words “god’ and “spirituality” felt like curse words when I said them, like concepts that were reserved for other, more traditional people. Tessie helped me nurture the spirituality that already existed in me, and helped me find practices that would foster that spiritual connection in an authentic way. I’ve learned how to find inspiration in the mundane & messy parts of life- she helped me find significance in my grief. I no longer feel like someone who can’t access or doesn’t belong in spiritual or religious spaces. I am so grateful to have met Tessie & have had the opportunity to work with her.
